Chief Business Officer – South IndiaKannan A is a dynamic and results-driven business leader with over 24 years of experience driving transformative growth across diagnostics, healthcare services, and high-impact consumer industries. Known for his strategic foresight, operational excellence, and customer-first mindset, he has consistently delivered superior business outcomes through digital transformation, service innovation, and people-led performance cultures.
In his current role as Chief Business Officer – South at Metropolis Healthcare Ltd., Kannan spearheads business strategy, market expansion, and operational execution across one of the company’s most competitive regions. His focus includes deepening market penetration, enhancing patient and customer engagement, and accelerating revenue growth through data-led decision-making and agile delivery models.
Previously, as Chief Operating Officer, he transformed service delivery by optimizing portfolios, digitizing lab operations, and improving turnaround times (TAT). He played a pivotal role in elevating Metropolis’ customer experience standards and scaling the Global Reference Lab into a high-performing, technology-enabled hub.
Kannan joined Metropolis in 2020 as Chief Service Officer, where he introduced a digital-first field service model that significantly enhanced service reliability and improved the company’s Net Promoter Score (NPS).
His career journey spans leadership roles at Hi Care Services, Bharti Airtel Ltd., BPL Mobile, TNT Express Worldwide, and RPG Ricoh. During his 15+ years at Bharti Airtel, Kannan shaped customer experience, service delivery, and operational strategies across multiple geographies, including international markets.
A Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kannan is widely respected for his expertise in process redesign, business transformation, and change management. His leadership philosophy blends analytical rigor with a passion for developing high-performing teams and creating sustainable value for customers and organizations alike.
